2022 MTV Music Video Awards See The VMA Line Up

The 2022 MTV Video Music Awards (VMA) nominees represent the best of what we have listened to and the music videos that have kept us entertained over the last year.

On Tuesday, the MTV Video Music Awards announced the nominees for its 2022 show. So far, Jack HarlowKendrick Lamar and Lil Nas X  lead with seven nominations each. But Doja Cat, who hosted the 2021 MTV VMA’s along with Harry Styles aren’t far behind. Each of them obtained six nominations for their music magic.

Additionally, Billie Eilish, Drake, Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift and The Weeknd were also among the top contenders, heading into next month’s show with five nominations each.

Other nominations include, Lizzo, for Song and artist of the year. As well as video for good, and best pop. Normani and Cardi are nominated for Best R and B. Cardi B earned two VMA nominations in the same category.

This year’s VMAs include 26 first-time nominees as well. The 2022 MTV Music Video Award nominees include Baby Keem, GAYLE, Kacey Musgraves and Måneskin — each with multiple nods.

This year, the VMAs return to New Jersey with a long-time span since its iconic 2019’s production. During that year the show featured Missy Elliott and Taylor Swift’s show-stopping performances.
