Beyonce’ hadnt given an interview in a while, but this time the singer opened up to Vogue Magazine in her September 2018 interview. took over the company hiring her own team of workers including the first black photographer Tyler Mitchell who is only 23 years old.

Beyonce’ gives reason to why she hired Mitchell stating: “

Until there is a mosaic of perspectives coming from different ethnicities behind the lens, we will continue to have a narrow approach and view of what the world actually looks like. That is why I wanted to work with this brilliant 23-year-old photographer Tyler Mitchell

The singer also reflects on her life as a mom, telling Vogue how she relfected on society to get her body slimmed after her first child Blue Ivy but now after having the twins Rumk and Sir she is in no rush.
“I was 218 pounds the day I gave birth to Rumi and Sir. I was swollen from toxemia and had been on bed rest for over a month.” Now and days Beyonce’ isn’t in a rush to bounce back ti a six pack she says she is enjoying her mommy pouch and when she us ready for a six pack she will jump back into beast mode. However, it was to become healthy and not what the public thought of her.

Beyonce’ reflects on the nay sayers from the beginning of her career. “When I first started, 21 years ago, I was told that it was hard for me to get onto covers of magazines because black people did not sell. Clearly that has been proven a myth. Not only is an African American on the cover of the most important month for Vogue, this is the first ever Vogue cover shot by an African American photographer.”

While reflecting on racial biases in yhe world Beyonce’ found her resolution in her own relationship with husband Jay Z, stating that they both come from bruised backgrounds which makes them bruised and beautiful. The singer researched her ancestory and found that she belonged to a slave owner who fell in love with a married slave. In that she found the reason for her life and family relations.

“I pray that I am able to break the generational curses in my family and that my children will have less complicated lives.” Beyonce’
