Beyonce’s Academy Awards 2022 Dress by David Koma Details

Beyonce’s academy awards 2022 dress by David Koma turned heads. The dress was also shared to David Koma’s Instagram. “Wearing custom David Koma look for Be Alive performance at The 94th Annual Academy Award,” he captioned.

Beyonce performed her hit single “Be Alive” from the soundtrack of King Richard (which was nominated for the awards of Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Actress, and Original Screenplay).

The color of the dress actually references Venus and Serena Williams. The color is considered to be tennis ball yellow.

She also paid tribute to the Williams sisters by performing on the tennis court in Compton.

This particular court is where the Willliams sisters played and practiced.

Prior to Beyonce’s academy awards 2022 dress airing, David Koma posted a similar dress to his Instagram. However, the other dress did not have the side slit or hip wrap. Nevertheless, the feathered shoulder wrap was the same.

Beyonce opted to wear matching under coverings with her custom dress. In contrast, the model for the 2022 spring collection sported black under coverings.

Both dresses obtained sequence stripes. Similar dresses are posted to David Koma’s website. The pricing is about $3000.00.

The was an epic and meaningful night for Beyonce and Beyhive fans. This was the first time in years that the singer has taken the stage, much to the Beyhive’s excitement. (The last time the world saw Bey sing was for a solemn occasion, the funeral of NBA superstar Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gigi in February 2020.)

“I’ve been in the studio for a year and a half. Sometimes it takes a year for me to personally search through thousands of sounds to find just the right kick or snare. One chorus can have up to 200 stacked harmonies,” she told BAZAAR. “There’s nothing like the amount of love, passion, and healing that I feel in the recording studio. After 31 years, it feels just as exciting as it did when I was nine years old. Yes, the music is coming!”
