Canadian Lawmaker Apologizes for Appearing Naked on Zoom During Legislative Meeting

    William Amos

A Canadian Member of Parliament, William Amos, has rendered an unqualified apology for appearing naked during a legislative meeting held via Zoom.

Mr. Amos, aged 46, is a Member of Parliament in Quebec.

He apologized to his colleagues in the House of Commons for “unintentionally” going naked on zoom during the meeting.

In a tweet sighted by African Entertainment, the lawmaker said his camera was accidentally left on while he was preparing for work.

He wrote “I made a really unfortunate mistake today & I’m embarrassed by it. My camera was accidentally left on as I changed into work clothes after going for a jog. I sincerely apologize to all my colleagues in the House. It was an honest mistake + it won’t happen again”.

Reacting to the incident, Bloc Quebecois Party Whip Claude DeBellefeuille said, ‘It may be necessary to remind the members, especially the male ones, that a tie and jacket are obligatory, but so are a shirt, boxer shorts or pants.”

“We have seen that the member is in great physical shape, but I think members should be reminded to be careful and control the camera well.”
