The first person to have tested positive for Ebola in Cote d’Ivoire in years has reportedly recovered.
The West African nation’s health ministry announced the patient’s recovery.
It would be recalled that the 18-year- old woman, who tested positive was from Guinea.
She had reportedly travelled to Abidjan by bus two weeks ago and then tested positive Ebola.
But the Health Ministry says she has tested negative twice.
Health officials in Cote d’Ivoire had started an ebola virus vaccination campaign following the positive test of the woman.
Cote d’Ivoire recorded its first known ebola case in 1994.
