Noah Baumbach has found the stars of his new feature film with Adam Sandler and George Clooney. The plot details for the Netflix project are being kept under wraps.
Baumbach will also produce the film, alongside Amy Pascal and David Heyman, who worked with Baumbach on Marriage Story and also produced Barbie, which the filmmaker co-wrote with Greta Gerwig.
This will be Baumbach’s fourth feature for Netflix, following White Noise, Marriage Story, and The Meyerowitz Stories, which starred Sandler.
Sandler, repped by WME, was last seen in Netflix comedies You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah and Murder Mystery 2. He recently released the animated feature Leo on the streaming service.
Clooney, who will be working with Baumbach as a director for the first time on the project, will be out in theaters on Christmas day with his latest directorial effort, The Boys In the Boat. Clooney is repped by CAA.
Baumbach’s Marriage Story wracked up six Oscar nominations, including for best picture. Most recently, Baumbach was in theaters with the global phenom Barbie, which he co-wrote with his partner Great Gerwig. That film has grossed over $1.44 billion, globally.
