Some 12 soldiers have reportedly been killed in an ambush in Burkina Faso.
Local media reports say the attack occurred in north-western Burkina Faso close to the border with Mali.
It remains unclear which militant groups carried out the attack, local media reports monitored by African Entertainment revealed.
But reports added that seven other soldiers who went missing have been found alive.
The reports cited Burkina Faso’s Ministry of Communications as disclosing details about the attack and the number of soldiers killed.
