It was a solemn occasion as the British Royal Family gathered on Saturday afternoon to pay their last respect to Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh.

The burial service was held at the St. George’s Chapel, Windsor.

Prior to the burial service, a magnificent procession – with about 700 troops from different wings of the British Army – was held.

A one minute silence was held across Britain in honor of Queen Elizabeth II’s late husband on Saturday, April 17, 2021.

Attendance at the burial service was restricted to about 30 people due to coronavirus restrictions and Prince Philip’s personal wish.

The Queen, Prince Philip’s children and grandchildren including the ‘feuding brothers’ namely Prince Harry and Prince William, his German relatives, a number of world leaders including former US President, Donald Trump, attended the burial service.

There were gun salutes across Britain in honor of the late Prince.

    New Path

The Royal Family is now trying to chart a new path.

At the end of the burial service, Prince Harry and Prince William, two brothers who have had strained relations in recent years, were seen walking together.

Coronavirus safety protocols were strictly complied with at the service.
