Jada Pinkett Smith was and still is a major influence in the acting world. She has starred on major films like “Set It Off”, “Girls Trip” and “The Nutty Professor”. Seems like those movies would not have been the same without her playing her roles. Even though Jada has had much success in her career she admitted that at one point of time acting had lost it’s passion in her life.
During the Sundance Film Festival Jada Pinkett Smith, said she lost her “desire” for acting after a while in the biz. According to Rolling Out she considered stepping away from the spotlight in order to go back to school and study psychology.
“There were no questions in my early years. Maybe later on. I kind of lost my desire to be in this industry for a lot of different reasons, and I was actually thinking about going back to school for psychology,” she said.
Jada decided to take a short break until she felt “motivated” enough to take on another movie role, the report states.
A recent episode of her Facebook Watch show “Red Table Talk” She also admitted that she had a “complete emotional collapse” after reaching “a certain amount of success.”
“I had gotten to LA and gotten a certain amount of success and realized that that wasn’t the answer. It wasn’t what was going to make everything OK. [It] actually made this worse. I was extremely suicidal, I had a complete emotional collapse,”she said.
Jada Pinkett Smith has been candidly open about her life since the air of the show. We have learned so much about The Smith’s. However, we must say Jada is still needed in the acting industry. She is forever an icon.
