    Jay-Z And Beyonce Lead Nominations Shortlist For Best Original Song At The 2022 Academy Awards

    Beyonce continues to prove how she got the name Queen Bey. For, she or husband Jay-Z could be claiming victory at the Oscars.

    Variety reports that Beyonce and Jay-Z were both put on the Oscar shortlist for Best Original Song for each of their own respective tunes.

    If they both manage to land an Oscar nomination, they will become the first husband and wife in Oscar history to compete against each other in the same category.

    Beyonce’s song ‘Be Alive’ from the movie ‘King Richard’ made the shortlist and Jay-Z’s ‘Guns Go Bang’ from the Netflix movie ‘The Harder They Fall’ also made the shortlist.

    Elsewhere, Ariana Grande and Kid Cudi made the shortlist as well for their song, ‘Don’t Look Up.’ Billie Eilish also claimed a spot with her James Bond theme, ‘No Time To Die.’ 

    Last year’s winner, H.E.R., is also on the list with her song ‘Automatic Woman’ from Halle Berry‘s ‘Bruised.’

    Jennifer Hudson also made the cut with her song ‘Here I Am (Singing My Way Home)’ from her Aretha Franklin biopic ‘Respect.’

    The official list of Oscar nominations is set to be announced on February 8.
