Mike Sorrentino widely known as Mike the Situation from the Jersey Shore announced baby news this past week. He and wife Lauren Sorrentino are expecting to become parents May of 2021.
“We have a Baby Situation 🤰,” Mike, 38, wrote on social media under a picture of him and Lauren, 35, kissing in front of an ultrasound and an enormous pile of flour with “Baby Sorrentino May 2021” drawn in it.
This isn’t the couples first pregnancy. According to Page Six it is almost a year after the pair revealed that Lauren had suffered a miscarriage.
The couple spoke on it last year during an episode of “Strahan, Sara and Keke.” “The night he came home [from prison] we actually conceived,” Lauren explained. “And then at about six and half, seven weeks I miscarried.
“I didn’t want to hold this in,” she added. “I wanted to share it for other people going through it and just be honest so I can kind of heal through the process.”
The couple have had an on and off again relationship. They were college sweathearts. They took a break during the original Jersey Shore recording.
“Timing is everything — we circled back to each other about two years ago and we kind of picked back up where we left off,” Lauren told Us in May 2015.
Mike spoke about his plans with Lauren back in 2018. In August 2018, he told Us, “I don’t really know too much about it, but I know ‘happy wife is a happy life.’ So whatever she wants, we’re gonna try to get it.”
Smart guy. The rest of the Jersey Shore crew posted cheers for the couple.

“Soooo excited for you guys!!! You deserve all the happiness in the world ! Pregnancy buddies,” Deena Cortese, who is expecting her second son, wrote. “Sooo happy for you my mawma! Always here for you! Call me when your nipples grow the size of a small plate 💋” Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi wrote.
