Kandi Burruss Praises God After Employee Fires Weapon and Injures Staff

Kandi Burruss praises God after being caught in and employee to employee dispute, that turned into a weapon being fired.

The RHOA star and husband Todd Tucker are also owners of two restaurants in Atlanta. They own a steak house called Blaze Steak and Seafood. As well as a Soulfood restaurant called Old Lady Gang Southern Cuisine in East Point.

Both restaurants have been featured Kandi’s Bravo show, with OLG even securing a solo spinoff that follows the lives of the restaurant staff.

The incident took place Wednesday at the RHOA star’s eatery located off Cascade Road, 11 Alive reports. South Fulton Police Lt. Rogers says an employee was involved in a fight and used their firearm, striking another employee in the arm, Kandi’s cousin, Melvin, who is the Blaze Seafood chef.

The injured staffer was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Meanwhile, the suspect fled the scene and is still at large.

The employee who fired fled the scene.

This is the couples second brush with fired weapons.

In 2020, the same year they opened Blaze Seafood, the restaurant named after their daughter, a man ran into their Soulfood restaurant chasing another man. While at Old Lady Gang Southern Cuisine in East Point the man fired rounds. The victim as well as two witnesses were wounded. But no one suffered life threatening injuries.

Kandi Burruss shared a post at that time. “My family and I are truly saddened by the unfortunate events that occurred at Old Lady Gang (OLG) Camp Creek, on the evening of February 14th.”

She continued, “an evening that was meant to celebrate love, unfortunately turned into something quite different.

Additionally stating, “As African-American business owners, it has been our goal to invest in our community by bringing jobs, quality dining, and a positive experience to the greater Atlanta area.”

Burruss continued to say, “we hope that you know and understand that the acts of violence that occurred yesterday evening do not, in any way, serve as a reflection of OLG or its values.”

As the Grammy winner faced her second brush with gunfire, the only thing she could do was praise God. As she did on her social page.

Kandi Burruss praises God while reposting s video of Reverend Charles Adam. In the video he said, “I wish I had 10,000 tongues just to thank ya.” He continued to say thank you in several languages.

The 46-year-old Xscape member captioned the post saying, “Thank you God for your protection! Even when things seem bad I remind myself that it could be worse. We’re living, breathing, & thanking God for another day. Thanks for all the love & prayers!”
