Kanye West Shares Photo of His Room Inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium to Finish Album,  Arena Embraces Him with Temporary Name Change

Kanye West is in fact living inside of the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta as he adds the final touches to his upcoming tenth studio album, “DONDA.” In addition, the higher-ups at the arena appear to be content with providing the Grammy award winner with his latest temporary place of residence.

Earlier this week, multiple outlets reported that following his record-breaking listening party in which the “All Falls Down” rapper played the project from start to finish for nearly 41,000 of his supporters, he decided that he wasn’t quite ready to release his latest musical effort. So rather than pack up his equipment and go to the several dozen music studios located in Georgia, the emcee decided to bring the studio to himself in true Kanye nature.

On Tuesday, July 27, 2021, the fashion designer shared a caption-less photo of his living quarters to his Instagram page, confirming the not-so-bizarre announcement. The room features a double bed, a television, a digital clock, some weights, and, of course, a few articles of clothing, including several pairs of slippers.

Fans took to the comments section following the confirmation photo. “Nice living quarters goat…. Looking forward to album of the century,” wrote one fan. Another person commented, “Sacrificing his comfort that he earned just to cater to the people, No one else will ever do it like him.”

A third per noted the design layout, stating, “not even a window?”

“Donda better have me levitating if you making sacrifices like this,” expressed a fourth.

Hot New Hip Hop, citing The Shade Room, reports the stadium took so well to their new tenant that it even briefly changed its Twitter handle to “DONDA STUDIO At Mercedes-Benz Stadium.” The name has since been restored, but, reportedly, door signs still read “DONDA Studio.”

Still, on the Friday following the packed event, fans did not wake up to the album on phones. Instead, they learned from social media personality Justin LaBoy that the project had been pushed back to the first week of August, reportedly Friday, Aug. 6. What’s speculated so far, based on what fans have heard, is the album is expected to have several guest appearances from artists including Jay-Z, Travis Scott, Baby Keem, and more. Kanye’s latest effort is named after his mother, Donda West, who passed away in 2007 from complications resulting from cosmetic surgery. She was 58.
