Less than 24 hours later reports surfaced that Kevin Samuels passed away according to reports, after making a video playing with God.
The Conversations and Confessions host appeared in a live video on his Instagram. In the video he spoke with a woman who claimed she earned a PHD but did not own a cookbook.
Samuels asked her, can you cook?
She responded, I don’t need a cookbook?
He replied, “yeah they got their PHD and everything else. They don’t have a cookbook but they damn sure do have a dog”.
The host then continues saying, “what is the one thing you tend to hear. Well, what I’m doing right now but I’m in a waiting position. I’m waiting for God to send that man to me. I’m holding out. So I’m going to go num num yuranga …”
He continues to play as if he was chanting to God. Samuels then says, ” why are so many modern women holding out. Whatever it is ladies it ain’t working”.
A few days ago, The Root posted an article about cancelling Samuels. The article noted that he had gathered a cult following by hating woman.
One of Samuels most viral video rated a woman’s appearance. In the video he told the woman she was average at best.
Last week, Samuels caused controversy after saying that women who are 35 and unmarried are considered “leftovers.” In the clip that circulated on social media, he took to his soapbox to spew this misogynistic rhetoric: “If you have made it to 35 and you are unmarried, you are a leftover woman. You are what is left. Men know that there is likely something wrong with you. Whether you want to hear it or not, I’m going to go there with you. I’m telling you the truth that you don’t want to hear.”
On Thursday the Instagram account Plug Talk claimed Kevin Samuels passed away from “cardiac arrest,” but the post offered no verification of its report. Other Instagram accounts quickly latched on to that same narrative without offering any confirmation.
