Laura Omotosho missing in metro Atlanta

She left in a grey 2013 Toyota Corolla with a Georgia tag of CIW4675 and a cracked windshield, according to family members.

ATLANTA — A 21-year-old Georgia State University college student has been missing for almost a week after she disappeared from her metro Atlanta home on Friday morning.

Laura Omotosho’s family has growing concerns as they describe the disappearance as “not her character.” Family members said that she was last seen at her home on Bolton Road just around 1 a.m.

She left in a grey 2013 Toyota Corolla with a Georgia tag of CIW4675 and a cracked windshield, according to family members.

Her sister, Lauren, added she was supposed to return back home but never arrived. That’s when the family knew something was wrong. Lauren added that the 21-year-old told her mother she wanted to go for a drive and get some fresh air which was not unusual, but her family begin to worry when she stopped responding to text message hours later.

“Her phone goes straight to voicemail and the car has not turned up anywhere,” said her sister. “We are concerned for her safety and her wellbeing. It has been almost five days since she disappeared with no trace.”

Her family spend Wednesday day driving through Cobb County neighborhoods where she lived. They said they have not given up hope wishing she would soon return safely.

“I went to the usual spots that I like in the past when we’ve gone on drives that she usually goes to where she knows that she can sit and like meditate. I’ve had no luck with those places as well,” said Lauren.

Omotosho was last seen wearing a black shirt, black bottoms and a multicolored black and pink scarf.

She is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 160 pounds. Her current hairstyle is Black goddess locs, according to her family.

Anyone with information on Omotosho’s disappearance should call Atlanta Police or 911.
