Ludacris enjoyed the holidays in Africa with his wife Eudoxie who is a citizen of Gabon. On Thursday Ludacris shared a video with socialites as he received dual citizenship.

The actor and rapper captioned his video saying, “Starting My New Year off with Dual Citizenship!” he wrote in the video’s caption. “?? AFRICA IM OFFICIAL!! Momma & Kids Too. The Best Gift of the Decade ?Award goes to @eudoxie ✊? #thebridges.”

“Ladies and gentlemen, I just became an official citizen of Gabon,” the rapper said in his clip. “Of Africa! I am a loyal citizen of Zamunda! I mean, Gabon,” he said. “This is the greatest day of my life! And Wakanda. All of that.”

So let’s talk about this country of Gabon. The country is located on the Atlantic Ocean, it borders Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, and the Republic of Congo. There are about 2 million citizens, and the land is about 85 percent forest. This country is the fifth largest oil producer in Africa. Gabon is an upper-middle-income country.

Gabon’s presidency was led by one man for over 41 years, Omar Bongo. In 2018, the current president Ali Bongo Ondimba who is the son of Omar Bongo resigned.

The Gabonese speak French, and Bantu-group languages. Gabonese food typically consists of fish, veggies, and fruits. Many main course meals are made with rich spices. One specific food that stood out was the plantain fritters, we hope Ludacris has tried this. The legal age for alcohol in this country is 18.
