On Thursday police searched for escaped suspects involved in a Mall of America shooting. The suspect fired into a crowded store but escaped with a 5 people plan.
The Mall of America shooting escalated after Shamar Alon Lark, 21, and Rashad Jamal May, 23, got into a fight with another group of people inside the Nike store one week ago.
“A week ago, we said that you can’t shoot up a mall and expect to get away with it,” Hodges said Thursday. “You can’t commit these acts and think you’re going to enjoy the freedoms of a free society.”
The men allegedly escaped the mall with the help of three other people.
Two cousins, Denesh Raghubir and Selena Raghubir, helped the two men escape to a nearby Best Western motel. Denesh Raghubir, drove the motels shuttle to pick the two men up. Once the vehicle arrived Selena Raghubir, also the hotel manager stepped away from the front desk for 45 minutes. However, there’s no statement on her exact involvement other than awareness.
But Selena’s boyfriend Delyanie Kwen-Shawn Arnold, allegedly drove the two men to a nearby neighborhood in Bloomington, Minnesota. There’s no clarification as to rather she called her boyfriend or one of them men involved notified him.
Nevertheless, Best Western terminated both employees.
Fox also reported that Hodges did not state how the arrest led to Shamar Alon Lark, and Rashad Jamal May. But he stated they have connections within the area. Approximately 400 miles from Bloomington Minnesota.
