    McNair's Apology

McNair’s apology is not flying with players. Recenetly, Bob McNair was quoted as referring to NFL players as inmates.
He later apologized. His release statement:
“I regret I used that expression. I never meant to offend anyone and I was not referring to our player. I used a figure of speech that was never intended to be taken literally. I would never characterize our players or our league that way and I apologize to anyone who was offended by it”

In an interview on “NFL Zone” players were asked how they felt about his apology. Josina Anderson spoke to Dwayne Brown, who said he would have a meeting with the players, general manager, and owner to discuss their feelings. Bob Mcnair then discussed his feelings saying, at that point it was very emotional in the room and after owners spoke their were a lot of reactions amongst players.
Some players stated nothing of those words should come from any business owner, and that they did not accept his apology.
Players felt like Bob Mcnair made those comments assuming it would never leak out of the room.
McNair claimed that the comments were not towards his players. In a press release he said,
“As I said yesterday, I was not referring to out players when I made a very regretful comment during the owners meetings last week. I was referring to the relationship between the league office and team owners and how they have been making adequate input from ownership over the past few years.
I am truly sorry to the players for how this has impacted them and the perception that it has created of me which could not be further from the truth”.

Some players say after that statement it made things even worse.
