Michelle Obama took to the stage for the Unites States Of Women Summit in California. The very first day she opened up about her memoir, that will be released in November, titled “Becoming”. She tells a story of her grandfather who was much of a bully to her grandmother. She explained that the bullying was not because he did not love his family, but because of the outcome and choices he made in his life that caused much stress. Her grandfather like a lot of other men, would turn his frustration into complaints towards her grandmother. At the age of four Michelle Obama was not shy of confronting her grandfather of his ways. In fact she was one of the only members of the family who stood up to him.
Writing BECOMING has been a deeply personal experience. I talk about my roots and how a girl from the South Side found her voice. I hope my journey inspires readers to find the courage to become whoever they aspire to be. I can’t wait to share my story. https://t.co/d7DxEG85NK
