Blessing Okagbare will have not part to play at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games after failing a pre-tournament drug test.
The 32-year-old who finished the fastest time in her heat has been disqualified from competing in the rest of the Games.
Okagbare’s samples had been taken four days before the kick-off of the tournament and the results came in after qualifying into the 100m semis.
The Athletics Integrity Unit said the 32-year-old tested positive for human growth hormone after her samples were taken on July 19, which was four days before the Tokyo 2020 Olympics started.
