Members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) have suspended their weekly protest.
The protest was over the arrest and detention of their leader, Nnamdi Kanu.
But they suspended the protest over the weekend.
IPOB spokesman, Emma Powerful, announced in a statement that they were suspending the protest until Kanu’s court appearance scheduled for October 21, 2021.
It would be recalled that the “sit-at-home” order from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm was introduced to protest the arrest of their leader Nnamdi Kanu.
Kanu is standing trial on terrorism and treasonable felony charges, among others.
