President Nana Akufo-Addo has commissioned the $16 million WEDDI Africa Tomato factory in Domfete in the Berekum West constituency of the Bono Region.
He commissioned the factory on Tuesday, 10th August 2021, as he commenced a 2-day working visit to the Bono Region, with visits to Sunyani, Berekum, Domfete and Wamfie.
Amongst others, he paid a courtesy call on the Sunyani Traditional Council; visited the palace of the Omanhene of the Berekum Traditional Area, Dasebre Dr. Amankona Diawuo III.
He also paid a courtesy call on the Omanhene of Wamfie; and inspected ongoing work on the construction of the 36km Wamfie-Adiembra road.
