For this edition of African Entertainment’s profiling of African artists, we settled on young and talented Ugandan musician, writer and producer, Daddy Andre.
Andre has worked so hard to become everything or a household name in the music industry in Uganda.
Born in Nsambya, the outskirt of Kampala, Capital of Uganda, Andre is a producer, an artiste and a writer.
He continues to build himself up and to work closely with other artists.
Beginning of Andre’s music career
Andre began his music career at age 16 and has spent over eight years in the music industry in his native Uganda.
As a seasoned writer, Andre has written songs for artists such as Sheeba, Mun G, Desire Luzinda, Bebe Cool and a host of other Uganda music stars.
Uganda like many other African countries such as Nigeria and Ghana, has a vibrant music industry.
The music industry in Uganda plays a fundamental role in the social and economic lives of many people.

Musicians like Andre are the main celebrities in Uganda, an East African nation.
As an artist, Andre has blessed music lovers with a number of bangers including Sikikukweeka, Tonelabira ft. Angella Katatumba, Omwana, Wabandi, Free, among others.
Awards
Andre has received several recognitions for his immense contributions to the development of the Ugandan music industry.
He has been awarded songwriter of the year; producer of the year; Male Artist of The Year.
