Fans flooded Cain’s post, thanking him for providing an update. Many thought they would see her again for the Met Gala. Nevertheless, respected her silence and peace.
Happy to see her again, one person wrote, Thank you for sharing this. I truly pray for this sister. To be a parent that loses a child…it leaves a hollow place in your soul. You never truly get over it. Thank you for sharing this picture of Ms Regina King. Know that she has prayers from Texas.
In January, she told PEOPLE in a statement, “Our family is devastated at the deepest level by the loss of Ian. He is such a bright light who cared so deeply about the happiness of others. Our family asks for respectful consideration during this private time. Thank you.”
Actress and friend Vivica A. Fox also spoke on King.
She said “I got a text saying Regina wants to see you, and I made a U-turn and immediately headed there. I didn’t think about where am I going, what am I doing. I just …had to go see my friend, my sister.”
