On April 26, Rihanna attended an event celebrating the launch of her new Fenty Beauty Soft’Lit Naturally Luminous Longwear Foundation. The shine bright like a diamond artist appeared in an all over golden glow. Nearly, perfectly matching her strapless dress, and luminous atmosphere, Rihanna called the event “golden hour in a bottle.” But the golden hour would not last, without warning.
During an interview the Barbados ambassador spoke out about some tricks she had up her sleeve when it came to her blonde locks.
“I get bored. I get bored, and I need to move on to something, or I’m going to crawl out of my body,” Rihanna tells Allure on the Fenty Beauty red carpet. “Cut it. I don’t care. It’s hair. It’ll grow back. Bleach it, whatever. Just do something.”
Rihanna had been rocking shades of blonde for a while. The Fenty Beauty founder attended her own FENTY x PUMA Creeper Phatty Earth Tone Launch Party in London on April 17, sporting her bangs against her forehead, grazing her eyelashes, with her hair down in honey blonde.
“I feel like a lot of people get scared to play with hair because it’s such a huge part of your identity,” she says, turning to stylist Yusef with sarcastic remorse. “Tomorrow, I’m not going to have this hairstyle and my hairstylist is going to be mad about it.”
When told that people were obsessed with the color right now, that seemed to excite the rebel for change. “What you trying to say? I should change it now. You going to make me change it now,” she said. “I’m over it anyway.”
Last year while spotted out grabbing dinner with A$AP Rocky. The hair, then a deeper shade of honey blonde, grazed her waist and was worn in a simple middle part. Instead of a bold red lip, she opted for a ’90s glossy brown lip.
On Saturday, May 4th in Miami, Rihanna rocked a bubblegum pink hairdo while supporting A$AP Rocky at a pop-up shop showcasing his Puma collaboration.
The “Diamonds” singer’s bright tresses were colored with an ombré effect so her roots were neon pink while her ends were more of an orange hue.
This isn’t Rihanna’s first aim at rocking pink hair. Alongside her bestie at Game 6 of the Western Conference semifinal NBA basketball playoff series between the Los Angles Clippers and Oklahoma City Thunder, the bad gal sported a pink pixie, on May 15, 2014 in Los Angeles.
She wore her voluminous colorful locks in soft curls around her face and offset the cheery blowout with a sultry black John Galliano vintage 1995 off-the-shoulder slip dress and exposed black lace Savage X Fenty bra.
