The set, which features the likes of Stormzy, Snoh Aalegra, and Wizkid, premiered with equivalent units of 74,000. A feat that makes it the highest-selling launch for an LP in the UK so far this year.
While standing as a streaming force, Dave also delivered other formats.
56% of the album’s sales figure is attributed to physical (vinyl, CD, cassette) and downloads, while 44% is from the 38.5 million streams accrued by the album’s 12 tracks.
Speaking on the achievement, the 23-year-old (whose 2019 debut ‘Psychodrama’ premiered at #1 with 26k) said:
“Second number 1 album. A lot of emotions but this is the work of the people, the best supporters on earth… my family and friends but most importantly God. For this we give God the glory. 74,000 album sales in 1 week and it’s God’s doing. It’s our number 1. History.”
Much deserved!
