Solange and Beyonce’s mom, Tina Knowles-Lawson reposted a Kelis meme that circulated after Kelis aired her feelings about Beyonce on social media.
Fans continuously go in on the fact that Beyonce would never put out unauthorized music without talking to the right people. But when Kelis heard the interpolation of “Get Along With You” and “Milkshake” on the “Renaissance” album “Energy” song she flipped.
During her emotional spill on social media, she explained how Pharrell does bogus music moves all the time. But it was the fact that she said what Beyonce did was stupid, that some socialites still cannot understand.
“The reality is that my real beef is not only with Beyoncé because at the end of the day she’s sampled a record, but she’s also copied me before.. it’s fine.
“It’s not about me being mad at Beyonce. She is one issue because it was stupid and disrespectful, and she should have at least reached out.”
But Kelis also admitted her awareness of not owning the rights to the song. However, she still felt like Beyonce should’ve contacted her because they’ve spoken before.
But of course, sometimes ish goes down when there’s a billion dollars on the elevator. The last time that happened Solange showed us her Mayweather skills. And according to the way Mama Tina posted, there’s no problem sending for Solange again.
