Celebrated South African Amapiano artist Focalistic has said the country should appreciate having talented musician DJ Maphorisa as one of its own.
According to Focalistic, DJ Maphorisa one of the biggest artists in the continent and South Africa should be proud him always.

“Everyday, South Africa has to thank God for DJ Maphorisa !! GOAT!! Ghost!!” he posted.
Maphorisa is an Amapiano godfather together with Kabz De Small. They are the people who fueled the rise of Amapiano in Mzansi at a time when no one liked or played it.
Then, Focalistic was riding high on Hip-hop before jumping ship to Amapiano. Following his switch, one of the producers who’s remained pivotal in his musical journey is DJ Maphorisa.
As a way of celebrating DJ Maphorisa, Focalistic featured him on four songs in his new EP dubbed ‘President Ya Straata’. One of the big songs in his EP is ’16 Days Of No Sleep’ featuring DJ Maphorisa.
A part from DJ Maphorisa, other artists featured in the EP include; Mellow, Sleazy, Rabaiki, Caltoni SA, Honda, Felo Le Tee, Myztro and Barcardi Ke Religion.
The EP launch in Pretoria was a lit affair. He brought the house down with great performances of all the seven tracks, according to media reports.
