The attack, according to an AFP news agency report, took place during Friday prayers.
Over 100 people were reportedly injured in the bomb attack.
The attack is considered the deadliest since US forces departed Afghanistan.
Reports say the mosque is used by the minority Shia Muslim Community.
No terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the attack, reports say.
