Several Nigerians and global citizens have expressed deep admiration for her freestyle and the superb manner in which she raps.

Her Record Label told African Entertainment that her single titled: “Wahala” and music video are set to be released soon.

What do we know about Ada King?

Grace Adaeze, born August 1, 2002, and known professionally as Ada King, is a Nigerian-American singer, songwriter, rapper, dancer, and actress.

She was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, where she attended school.

Her parents originate from Anambra State, Nigeria, but moved to the United States to reside.

African Entertainment understands that she is the second born out of three children.

Since she was born, Adaeze’s love for music and performing has always been made known, says Dr Ezuma.

He added that her interest for music was developed through her mother, who enjoyed singing and writing songs at a young age. Since childhood, she would watch nursery rhymes on TV and sing along to shows like, The Wiggles, Barney, Donkey Ollie, and so much more.

But at the age of two, he said, she auditioned for Barney and received the part, but due to financial standings, she wasn’t able to participate.

At the age of 8, according to him, she led the children’s church choir in her church and danced in many events they held. At the age of 9, she joined a dance team within her elementary school where she performed and competed with her team.

At the age of 12 , she joined the Fresh Fire Youth Ministry Dance Ministry at the International Christian Center, Los Angeles, where she performed, danced, choreographed for them till the age of 18. At the age of 13, her stepfather’s encouragement to make music was displayed when he took her to the studio in Downtown, Los Angeles, California for the first time.

When she entered high school, African Entertainment is informed, Adaeze and one of her friends started an African Dance group, where they performed at school, parties, weddings, and professional events.

By the time she was 15, she joined the main choir of International Christian Center, Los Angeles, where she was the youngest and the first teenager to join the ministry full of adults.

At the age of 16, she joined the Lawndale High School Cheer Team, where she multitasked with her multiple dance groups and choir at church. At 17, she was the co-captain of Lawndale’s Black Student Union Step Team, where she choreographed and stepped at different events.

By the time Adaeze got into college, she joined the African Queens of University of California, Merced, where she was able to represent them in a solo performance during Culture Show 2021. Adaeze joined all these activities and was guided by the things she enjoys the most, music and dance. During her years in elementary, middle school, and high school, Adaeze was bullied terribly and it was very hard to have a peaceful day at school.

At school, her peers would make fun of her appearance, her financial background, and culture. Through all the difficulties she faced with her classmates, she would come home and write songs as her emotional outlet, which strengthened her years later as a songwriter. Ada King’s love of music and dancing overshadowed every negative comment, claim, and statement that was made against her.
