Tottenham to fine Lo Celso, Romero over controversial Brazil-Argentina match

Tottenham Hotspur are expected to suspend and fine their two players Giovani Lo Celso and Cristian Romero over their involvement in the controversial match between Brazil and Argentina. 

Both players took part in Argentina’s controversial clash with Brazil that was suspended on Sunday, September 5, 2021.

Reports say the two players defied Tottenham’s orders to join up with their national team and will be fined. They reportedly joined the Argentina national team without permission from Tottenham.
