The Nigerian Government has indicated the ban on Twitter in Nigeria remains in force.
Head of Nigeria’s Communications Commission, Dr. Ikechukwu Adinde, made this known.
Dr. Adinde came out to deny the lifting of the ban after a section of Nigerians claimed they had gained access to Twitter without using Virtual Private Networks.
It would be recalled that the Nigerian Government indefinitely banned Twitter on June 4, 2021 Twitter deleted a tweet by President Muhammadu Buhari.
The American social media giant had accused Buhari of violating its rules.
