Former President of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan has joined other respected dignitaries across the African continent to heap praises to musicians Wizkid and Burna Boy for winning Grammy awards at this year’s event.
Mr Jonathan in post on Facebook said “Their success is an inspiration to Nigerian youth and indeed all citizens that despite our challenges, we are a people of great potentials.”
He added that “Nigeria will certainly make more significant marks in key areas of human endeavour that aid human progress in science and technology.”
Late Sunday night at the 63rd annual Grammy awards, Burna Boy known in real life as Damini Ogulu won the Best Global Music Album category while Wizkid, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun took home the Best Music Video for his song with Beyoncé; Brown Skin Girl, from Lion King: The Gift album.
