    Women Are Being Killed By Abusive Husbands Because of You

    Ghanaian award-winning actress, Lydia Forson, has told marriage counselor, Charlotte Oduro, that some women in Ghana are beginning to lose their lives in the hands of husbands and partners because of her advise.

    Ms. Forson, one of Ghana’s outspoken celebrity, said Madam Oduro has in the past taken to several media platforms to advise women to pamper their husbands after every abuse in order to keep their homes.

    In a Facebook post sighted by African Entertainment on Lydia Forson’s page, she blasted Charlotte Oduro, saying  “You will now come and write OMG, why didn’t she leave when a woman is found dead. Meanwhile you’re in a group where they’re sharing this and having these conversations and you don’t say anything”.

    What happened?

    Two women have been allegedly killed by their lovers in Ghana in recent days as African Entertainment earlier reported.

    One of the deceased, is a level 300 student of the Evangelical Presbyterian University College (EPUC), Ho, Elizabeth Akpalu Yesutor, who reported to have died after suffering alleged assault from her boyfriend, Philip Ceasar Kumah.

    Ms. Yesutor’s death, African Entertainment gathered, occurred on Monday, Mach 8, 2021. She was aged 31.

    Sources said Yesutor was conveyed to the Ho Teaching Hospital last Sunday evening, March 7, 2021 after she complained of serious chest pains. Her friends alleged that she may have been assaulted once again by her boyfriend.

    Sources she had been assaulted by Philip who is a Deputy Director of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) in the Akatsi North district of the Volta Region.

    African Entertainment understands that her friends had on several occasions asked her to report the incident to the Police, but to no avail.

    Public Affairs Officer of the Volta Regional Police Command, Sgt. Prince Dogbatse, has confirmed the incident, saying there have been some earlier reports of physical abuse.

    Accordingly, on December 19, 2021 Elizabeth reported Philip to the Police in Ave Dakpa in Akatsi North for allegedly beating her to pulp. She was then given police medical form to the Ho Teaching Hospital. The medical report from the hospital at the time after examination confirmed that Elizabeth had soft tissue injuries over the left shoulder (bruises), right upper eyelid (swellings) and right lateral aspect of the head (swellings).

    But she is reported to have withdrew the case from the Police station after she recovered only to be allegedly assaulted recently.

    Sgt Dogbatse while confirming the death, indicated “The gentleman, Philip Kumah is now in our custody and assisting with investigations.”

    Second Woman’s death

    Police at East Legon, a suburb of Accra arrested a businessman in connection with the death of his wife.

    Charles Dedjoe, Chief Executive Officer of Chadeco Group Of Companies Limited, was arrested on Independence Day on March 6, 2021, after his father-in-law reported the alleged killing of the woman.

    The woman is 43-year-old Lillian Dedjoe. Police investigation revealed that she died after reportedly slipping and falling off the stairs at their East Legon home.

    The father of the deceased accused the businessman of killing her.

    Information gathered by African Entertainment indicated that Charles and Lillian have been married for a some years, and have two children.

    However, their relationship reportedly turned bitter, with Lillian allegedly suffering assaults from Charles.

    Reports say on March 1, 2021, an argument ensued between the couple during which Charles allegedly assaulted Lillian.
