Xscape member Tamika Scott preached to the choir on Fox 32 Good Day Chicago
Xscape member Tamika Scott debuted her vocal instruction skills and cooking skills on Fox 32 Good Day Chicago.
The artist, now author appeared on the daytime show to talk about her new cookbook, “Cooking with Tamika Scott”. The artist spoke about snagging recipes from her mom.
Scott says she learned how to cook from her grandmother. She grew up on a farm. The Xscape artist says the recipes from her new book runs through five generations of her family. The book not only has food recipes, but it also has drink recipes, and desert recipes.
Tamika Scott previously told Rickey Smiley that the book has a section that is called food that gets you in the mood. She also admitted that one of her favorite and most demanded recipes is her Georgia peach martini cobbler.
On the Rickey Smiley show the cookbook author aired a lot of details, including mentioning Xscape’s up-and-coming reality show. The show airs next month in June. Scott informed Fox 32 that the show is signed with Bravo and features SWV as well.
But it was Good Day Chicago’s interview that Tamika Scott not only showing us how much she is an expert cook, but also an expert vocalist. The Fox 32 team was ready to learn cooking and singing.
The daytime anchors Anita Blanton and Terrence Lee joined tune with Tamika Scott. Blanton seemed to be a bit more excited to upgrade her vocal skills with lessons by the artist. With a laugh she said, “I’m trying to step up to Tamika’s level. This is Tamika Scott now.”
The now grandmother still got it. Tamika explained the first time she went back on stage at a point in her life where her children would witness her stardom. Well, that vocal coaching on Good Day Chicago set the tune for the new generations and gave a bit of nostalgia to the generations who grew up being an Xscape fan.
