Ashanti Verzuz Keyshia Cole battle has everyone who vibed to those early 2000s jams talking.
The two will go lyric to lyric in December 12th.
Some are saying that the battle isn’t fair because Ashanti is on a different level than Keyshia Cole, but it looks like Keyshia Cole is ready.
Cardi B is here for both women. She took to social media to talk about the Ashanti Verzuz Keyshia Cole battle.
“Warning to all you mans out there (including mine) be nice the day of the Ashanti VS Keyshia Verzuz battle. Its going to be a lot of singing with this face 😒😒 on you,” she tweeted.
She followed it up by saying how much she is bragging about both women.
“Wait a damn minute ? Keyshia Cole & Ashanti are both Libras!?See I don’t mean to brag but I’m bragging. I cant wait for this verzuz battle! It’s going to be sooo fuckin good.”
Both Ashanti and Keyshia Cole posted about the Verzuz battle saying it’s a celebration of empowerement.
Keyshia Cole She released her debut album, The Way It Is (2005), which spawned five singles: “Never“, “I Changed My Mind“, “(I Just Want It) To Be Over“, “I Should Have Cheated“, and “Love“. It was certified gold within 17 weeks, and then platinum just eight weeks later. The album stayed on the charts for over a year, selling over 1.6 million copies.
Ashanti was first discovered as a teenager and later signed to Murder Inc. in 2002. That year, she was featured on Fat Joe‘s “What’s Luv?” and Ja Rule‘s “Always on Time“, both of which became two of the biggest hit songs of 2002; Ashanti became the first female artist to occupy the top two positions on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart simultaneously when “Foolish” and “What’s Luv?” were at numbers one and two, respectively.
Both women made definite impressions in the music world and are still doing their thang. We can’t wait to see the Ashanti Verzuz Keyshia Cole celebration.
