Oscar’s stylist Kollin Carter nailed the red carpet for the Vanity Fair Oscar’s party. The New York based fashion editor and stylist is no stranger to styling some of the best looks on Cardi B, Kelly Rowland, Normani, Ciara Wilson, Flo Ngala and many more top list celebrities.
Kollin Carter born April 20th, 1990, attended Callaway Senor High School. He completed a three-year apprenticeship under Law Roach before becoming Cardi B’s stylist in 2017.
If you’re wondering how he got to be one of the best stylist in the industry, during an interview with Essence, he stated, “I don’t take breaks, I don’t know what those are,” Carter explained, responding to an audience member who asked about finding downtime.
When facing challenges in the industry, Kollin Carter stated, “I have to pull back and check myself because I’m putting myself out there for feedback.” “That’s what fashion is. It is a debate, it is a conversation. If it’s not debatable, then it’s not really worth talking about.”
Cardi B sported a black Versace couture dress from SS 2003. Kelly Rowland posed and dolled up in Nina Ricci Spring Summer 2024 collection designed by Harris Reed. Her styled paired with a Messika necklace.
Victoria Monet also sported Harris Reed. She glammed in a top sheered black dress embellished with golden flowers.
Both Kelly Rowland and Victoria Monet topped off their looks with up do’s. Monet sported a bun with Chinese hair sticks and a side bang. Meanwhile, Kelly Rowland sported a French roll with a classic bang.
Kollin Carter expressed his admiration for the women, captioning the moments on his Instagram. Posing next to Cardi B in full YSL he wrote, “On a date .. kinda nervous.”
