Author Jean Carroll Versus Trump Gets Support From Fans

Earlier last week the Jean Carroll versus Trump case was filed and confirmed by the “What Do We Need Men For” author.

Carroll claimed Trump raped her back in the 1990s and has filed a suit in the US state of New York against the Republican former President. According to reports the rape took place in a New York luxury department store dressing room 27 years ago.

The 78 years-old Carroll is reportedly among the first to sue under the Adult Survivors Act, which came into effect on Thursday.

Reports sat the law allows a one-year period for victims to file sexual assault lawsuits in New York over claims that would have otherwise exceeded statute limitations.

Trump, 76, has denied raping Carroll or knowing her at the time, and said she was “not my type.”

Trump first denied the claims in June 2019. Nevertheless, Carroll decided to sue for defamation five months later.

He repeated the denial in an Oct. 12 post on his Truth Social account, calling Carroll’s claim a “hoax” and “lie,” prompting the new defamation claim.

Both sides are awaiting appeals court decisions addressing Trump’s argument that he was legally immune from Carroll’s first lawsuit because he had spoken in his capacity as president.

Supporters of the Carroll versus Trump case shared their thoughts after she announced the new lawsuit.

On Substack Carroll wrote, “Dearest friends, tonight, a few minutes after midnight, we filed the rape suit against the former president. The new suit may ruin the former president’s Thanksgiving, but it will be nourishing to every woman who’s ever been grabbed, groped, harassed, pinched, prodded, assaulted, smeared or dragged through the mud by a powerful man. Thank you, Robbie Kaplan, Joshua Matz, Matt Craig, Shawn Crowley, and Rachel Tuchman!”

Supporters replied saying, “Hooray for you! I just heard it on MSNBC!!!! Yes!.” They continued, “Yes!! Yes!!! Go get ‘im, girlfriend. Millions are supporting you and cheering for your success, which is our collective success. You are empowered. Thank you. P.S. we have mutual friends in the real world, whatever that is.”

Another supporter wrote, “Thank you for being a badass and filing!!! Congrats! And may you have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday! We are grateful for you in this world.”
