The girl next door, Chlöe Bailey loved YouTube tutorials like many of us. During her interview with Vogue she recalls, dipping into her well-stocked travel pouch. “Over the pandemic, I kind of learned how to do my own because we didn’t have makeup artists helping us.” With a visage seemingly airbrushed thanks to Fenty’s blurring tint, she traces a contour stick across her cheekbones, around her jawline, and down the bridge of her nose to further accentuate her angles. A shimmery coral blush from Nars, swept across her face, provides a sun-kissed effect that she amplifies with a generous amount of highlighter. “I kind of go ham,” she says with a smile. “I don’t really care if it looks natural or not, because it’s pretty.”
Adding on to her evolution of sultriness, she said make-up brings out her alter ego.
“I feel like it’s my alter ego in a way,” she muses of her new do, which she debuted on the cover of her latest album, Have Mercy. Plus, she adds, “it brings out my skin.” Consider it just one of the many scene-stealing beauty moves that are sure to come from this pop star in the making.
