Critics could not wait to open their mouths on what they thought would happen. Christina Aguilera is very well known to have such a powerful voice that she barley as to try to sing it just comes natural. However in past performances the vocal runs and overpowering add ins became a little bit much for some of the critics to handle.
Critics looked past the fact that Christina Aguilera had been singing Whitney Houston to perfection since she was a little girl on the Mickey Mouse Club. Christina paid no attention to the critics, instead she raved about how excited she was and it was a dream of hers since she was a little girl.
On November 19th 2017, Christina Aguilera hit the stage, with no fear she belted Whitney’s “I Will Always Love You” spilling over into “I have Nothing” “I Want To Run To You” and finally “I’m Every Women
When the performance was over social media noticed the stares received by certain celebs in the audience. Especially, Christina’s well known rivalry Pink, who quickly cleared up the rumor of her hating Christina’s performance. Brandy also commented prior to the performance that Christina had sang well with Whitney before hoping that this performance was to be just as well. Christina’s long time Burlesque buddy Cher said Christina went beyond expectations.
