Senegal and Chelsea goalkeeper, Edouard Mendy, has been adjudged the UEFA Champions League Goalkeeper of the season 2020/2021.
He won the coveted award on Thursday, August 26, 2021.
According to UEFA in a post on Instagram, “Edouard Mendy is #UCL Goalkeeper of the Season after recording 9 clean sheets in 12 matches.”
Mendy won the UEFA Champions League with Chelsea last season. He won clean sheet in the final as Chelsea defeated Manchester City 1 – 0.
