Nick Cannon Unintentionally Hijacks Saweetie’s ‘Big Announcement’ with His Own News, Fans are Left In Stitches

Nick Cannon unintentionally dimmed Saweeties celebrity partnership announcement on Wednesday, July 28, after jokingly denying fathering a child with the “My Type” lyricist.

Although it has not been confirmed that the two have ever been together, Cannon seemingly served up this playful announcement in light of the flak he has received for having four children in a year by multiple women.

Saweetie initially shared that she had a “big announcement” on her Twitter page earlier in the day without disclosing what it was. The 28-year-old wrote, “big mama got a secret to share tomorrow!!!”

As the news traveled to The Shade Room’s social media page, many fans’ reactions to the particular tweet in the comments section were split. Some claimed that Saweetie would be announcing more music, while others suggested the rapper may have been expecting. Cannon jumped on the bandwagon by boldly stating, “It’s Not mine!!!!!,” with a laughing emoji.

Immediately following the father of seven‘s quip, a multitude of people couldn’t help but laugh at the joke.

    “go to hell 😂😭😭😭.”

“lmao, pls go sit your a– down😂.”

    “IM FCKN SCREAMINNNNN”

    “LMFAO bye nick 😭😭.”

“He said Aht aht aht lmao.”

The next day, on July 29, Saweetie revealed that she was doing a celebrity partnership with McDonald’s on her social media pages. The announcement read, “WHO’S READY FOR ONE OF MY INFAMOUS CONCOCTIONS ?!! #TheSaweetieMeal x @mcdonalds coming soon.”

The Saweetie Meal, which includes a Big Mac sandwich, four-piece chicken nuggets, medium fries, medium Sprite, and barbecue sauce named “Saweetie ‘N Sour,” is slated to go on sale in the U.S. on Aug. 9. As part of new marketing efforts, McDonald’s launched its celebrity partnerships campaign starting in late 2020 with rapper Travis Scott, the first celebrity named to the brand’s menu since Michael Jordan in 1992.

After Saweetie’s endorsement news, her fans instantly bombarded the rapper’s social media pages with well-wishes. One said, “NOW THATS HOW YOU SECURE A BAGGG 😭🙌🏾.” Another wrote, “Oh, she getting a McBag.” One particular Instagram user stated that Saweetie’s “blessings” have been nonstop as of late.

“Now that’s how u clear a bag. These blessing baby I can’t keep up @saweetie.”

This announcement comes days after Saweetie shared she was on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar Vietnam. She informed her followers by sharing the initial spread with the caption, “WELCOME TO MY LABYRINTH.”
