Serena Williams came to dominate two sports at one time. The Tennis star reigns in tennis and dominates in tennis fashion. The year 2018, Serena drew attention to her tennis fashion when she sported a curve hugging black catsuit to the French open. This time the tennis start has decided to brighten it up. On her first match of the Australian Open, Serena sported a green, specially made Nike romper with fishnets underneath.

According to People, the jumpsuit was custom made for Serena by Nike. The jumpsuit lined her amazing figure, with black and white stripes. Serena Williams blended the outfit black, pink, and green Nike tennis shoes. Sporting a natural ponytail Serena was ready to play.

During last years fashion trend, Serena received push back for her style. In August 2018, French Tennis Federation President Bernard Giudicelli vowed to implement stricter apparel rules that would ban such threads, like Serena’s black catsuit.

“I think that sometimes we’ve gone too far,” he told the Associated Press then, in reference to Williams’ look. “It will no longer be accepted. One must respect the game and the place.”

However, Serena received much support from the Women’s Tennis Association Rules Committee and Board of Directors took a different stance. Implementation for 2019’s rule changes for tennis players states that, “leggings and mid-thigh-length compression shorts may be worn with or without a skirt, shorts, or dress.”

This is Williams’ first time back at the Australian Open since giving birth to her daughter with husband Alexis Ohanian, Alexis Olympia. The tennis star posted to Instagram letting the world know that she was ready!
