Teyana Taylor recently opened up about giving birth to baby Junie. She revealed that it was never a plan to have a natural birth. In a recent Instagram postes for baby Junie’s birthday, the singer played back a 911 call, showing how off gaurd her birthing plans were.
Teyana says, “My water broke on the toilet, As soon as my mom said, ‘Does she have any discharge? Did the water break?’ I swear to God two seconds later, it broke. I got so scared because I just knew, I’m one of them type of n—– I was getting an epidural, I was gon have Monica sing to me — that’s Junie’s godmother — nana gon come pray. We had this all planned out.”
Of course things did not go that way for Teyana Taylor, or Iman Shumpert. In the 911 call posted by Teyana on Instagram, she reveals an emotional husband and NBA player Iman Shumpert being instructed on how to deliver the baby himself.
During an interview on The Breakfast Cub, Teyana Taylor tells Charlamagne, “[It was a] ‘I didn’t have a choice childbirth,’ that’s what that was.”
