THE MENTAL ILLNESS BATTLE FROM CELEBRITIES TO SOCIALITES

Mental illness comes in all kinds of talents, it has no bias against the rich, middle class, or poor. Mental illness doesn’t care how talented you are, or your sexiness level on a scale of one to ten.
Mental illness doesn’t care how many tweets you put out in a day. However, one tweeter decided to use her platform for war against the disease. PJ_palits is an art director and mental illness advocate. On January 20th, she started a viral thread on the signs and attacks of mental illness. She explained the many reasons on why people with mental illness are so tired. She explained they are usually asked how they are doing, and respond with “I’m doing fine, just tired”. She noted that when they say “I’m just tired”, it isn’t a complaint as some may take it but rather the truth.

The tweets gained so much attention, causing people to realize that every mentally ill person doesn’t look sick, or always show signs. There are levels of mental illness capabilities.

A previous article we wrote proves how many celebrities suffer from mental illness too. Michelle Williams, a former Destiny’s Child member talked about how she had to take a 90 day break and just focus on relaxing, clearing her mind, and facing some truths. Other celebs however suffered and didn’t make it. For instance, Lil Peep, who was a famous rapper who passed from an overdose. He cried out on social media all the time for help and no one really heard him. At the height of his career he lost his life trying to suppress his feelings with drugs.
The twitter thread that recently caused a good look into recognizing mental illness has gained over 32,000 retweets and we hope people continue to share the truths and awaken others. There are millions of people who suffer.
