Towanda Braxton posted a snippet of her and sister Traci Braxton singing each other’s names. During the video, Towanda says, “Traci and I are in the A. This is it guys”.
Without intentions, she sings, “Traci”. But then Traci follows her up singing, “Towanda” in three different tones. First hitting a whisper note, then following it up with two low notes. She then asked Towanda, “did I do low”.
Towanda Braxton captioned the video saying, “I miss you everyday. I think about you everyday. My sadness turns into laughter because it was NEVER a dull moment. I love you to the moon and back. This YouTube episode is a dedication and tribute to my Traci. My hummingbird”.
Braxtonators shared how much they also missed Traci Braxton. One person wrote, (@mykodsean) “Her spirit is unmatched. She brought laughter too many who needed it. We love all the Braxton but she was the heart and the fire. R.i.H BABY GIRL”.
Another person said, (@professoranitoonewood) “She was such a beacon of light! Full of magnetic energy! Sorely missed”!
Referring to Traci as the hummingbird, all the Braxton sisters wore hummingbird necklaces to her homegoing. Tamar Braxton even wore hers on set to Dishnation. She wrote, “Told you Trace because we promised you.. and It is also my honor to take you EVERYWHERE we go🦋 just like you asked! even to Dishnation”.
A few months ago, Toni Braxton dedicated her Lifetime movie, Fallen Angels, to her sister. She told Tamron Hall, “I wake up every morning and I go, ‘Did I dream it? Did I dream it?’ and I have to remind myself ‘No, she’s gone but she’s been here with us for 50 years,’ ” Toni, 54, said. “So I try to relish in that moment and try to smile about it and just be grateful for the time you have and you have to always remember to be kind to one another.”
Trina also shared a photo of herself, Towanda, and Traci. The photo of Traci featured her without hair. Towanda went bald as well in honor of her sisters heavenly birthday.
