Travis McMichael and Gregory McMichael Arrest Video and More

Gregory McMichael arrest video with son Travis McMichael surfaced on Thursday. Travis McMichael and Gregory McMichael, two white men who were seen on video fatally shooting unarmed Ahmaud Arbery, a 25-year-old black man, were arrested and charged on Thursday in connection with the February killing, Georgia authorities announced.

Gregory McMichael, 64, and his son Travis McMichael, 34, were each charged with murder and aggravated assault. According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, they were booked and jailed in coastal Glynn County, Ga., where the killing took place.

The details of Mr. Arbery’s murder, along with the long wait for an  arrest led to a wave of protests nationwide.

The urgency for an arrest grew stronger on Tuesday when the release of a graphic video that showed Mr. Arbery running toward a truck, engaging in a struggle with a man holding a shotgun, and then falling to the ground after three shotgun blasts went off

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation, in a news release, stated that it was Travis McMichael who shot and killed Mr. Arbery on Feb. 23.

The protests of the injustice reached the White House, where President Donald Trump offered condolences Thursday to Arbery’s family.

“It’s a very sad thing,” Trump said in the Oval Office, “but I will be given a full report this evening.” Reported by The Grio.
