    Chadwick Boseman Dies Of Colon Cancer Kept It To Himself

    It has been confirmed that “Black Panther” star Chadwick Boseman died at of colon cancer at the age of 43.

    His Twitter account reported that he had been battling colon cancer.

    Boseman also appeared in Spike Lee’s “Da 5 Bloods,” “Get on Up,” “42” and “Draft Day.”

    “It is with immeasurable grief that we confirm the passing of Chadwick Boseman,” the statement read. “It was the honor of his life to bring King T’Challa to life in Black Panther.”

    Chadwick Boseman has broken barriers with his role in Black Panther. He inspired many.

    Last year Boseman won the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture! #SAGAwards.

    Black Panther leading star Chadwick Boseman took to the mic with a eye openging speech on the importance of representing Black talent in the industry. The Black Panther crew Angela Bassett, Danai Gurira, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o and others watched in astonishment.

    Chadwick Boseman first gave thanks to his co-stars and the film’s myriad execs. He also included Black Panther director Ryan and Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige. However, the Boseman’s intentions were to deliver more than gratitude that night.

    Boseman said, We know what it’s like to be told there’s not a screen for you to be featured on. We know what it is like to be the tail not the head. We know what it is like to be beneath not above. And that is what we went to work with everyday.”

    The movie broke history, selling more in the first 24 hours on Fandango than any other Marvel movie, Fandango said in a release. The movie was also the top ticket-seller of the day, beating out current releases like Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

    Chadwick Boseman will be missed.
