After a six-month postponement thanks to the writers and actors strikes earlier this year, the 50th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards — which were originally set for June 16 — will finally take place on Friday, Dec. 15.

The Daytime Emmys — hosted by Kevin Frazier and Nischelle Turner from Entertainment Tonight — will be broadcast on CBS and live-streamed on Paramount+ from the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles Friday at 6 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET.

How to Watch the Daytime Emmy Awards Without Cable

The Daytime Emmy Awards is broadcast on CBS, which means you can sign up for a trial from a live TV streaming service that carries the network if you want to watch without cable. Several streaming cable alternatives carry these networks and many of them are offering free trials.

Ahead, find out where to watch the Daytime Emmys ceremony online with and without a cable subscription.

Watch CBS with DirecTV Stream. The cable alternative’s packages offer CBS, along with more than 75 other channels — such as ABC, NBC, Fox, AMC, Bravo, CNBC, Disney Channel, ESPN and much more.

And you can watch the awards ceremony on CBS for free too, when you sign up for a five-day free trial to watch the Daytime Emmy Awards on DirecTV Stream. Afterward, you can either cancel the service or keep watching, with prices starting as low as $69.99 for the entry-level entertainment package. Other plans offer more than 105-150 channels, with prices ranging from $84.99 to $159.99 per month.

For a limited time, new subscribers can get a Visa gift card worth up to $400; learn more here.

Watch the Daytime Emmy Awards for free when you sign up for a seven-day free trial for Paramount+, which starts at $5.99 per month. Afterwards, you can cancel the streaming service altogether, or you can keep watching.

Subscribers can access hundreds of movies and TV series with Paramount+, such as Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Frasier, Lawmen: Bass Reeves, all of the Star Trek franchises, the Yellowstone prequels 1883 and 1923 and others. Additionally, Paramount+ with Showtime goes for $11.99 per month for the ad-free package, which includes Showtime originals, such as The Curse, Yellowjackets, The Chi and more.

Paramount+ is also available as an add-on channel on Prime Video. Prime members and new subscribers can get a free seven-day trial for Paramount+ on Prime Video ($8.99 per month for the standalone service). After that, it auto-renews at an additional $11.99 per month (includes Showtime) in addition to the Prime or Prime Video membership price.

Not a Prime member? Sign up for a 30-day free trial to take advantage of all that Amazon Prime has to offer, including access to Prime Video; fast same-, next-, or two-day free shipping; in-store discounts at Whole Foods Market, access to exclusive shopping events — like Prime Day and Black Friday — and more.

Watch CBS, as well as more than 170 other news, entertainment and sports channels with a subscription to Fubo — which starts at $54.99 per month for the first two months of service (reg. $74.99 per month). In addition, you can record more than 1,000 hours of TV shows, movies, games and more, so you can even watch later on your smartphone, tablet, laptop or smart TV.

Meanwhile, other packages offer 254 channels for the Elite package for $64.99 per month for the first two months of service (reg. $84.99 per month), or 298 channels, with Showtime and 4K quality for the Premiere package, for $74.99 monthly for two months (reg. $94.99 monthly).

The online TV streaming service also offers a five-day trial for new subscribers, so you can watch the Daytime Emmy Awards online for free during that time.

To watch CBS, a subscription to Hulu + Live TV is another fantastic option. The streaming service has access to more than 90 live channels — like BET, CNN, Food Network and more — starting at $76.99 per month and comes with Hulu’s entire streaming library, as well as Disney+ and ESPN+.

In addition to live TV, Hulu + Live TV lets subscribers watch originals from Hulu, Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm (Star Wars), The Muppets Studio and Pixar, as well as ESPN+ for original sports programming and live sports from Formula 1 as well as the NFL, MLB and other sports leagues. It includes unlimited cloud DVR, too. Unfortunately, Hulu doesn’t offer a free trial at this time.

For the uninitiated, it’s a virtual private network that lets you legally access U.S. web servers, even if you’re in another country, so you can stream the Daytime Emmys on a smartphone, tablet, laptop and smart TV.
