A new United Nations (UN) report has revealed that human activity continue to change the climate in unprecedented and at times irreversible ways.
The report released cautioned of rising extreme heatwaves, droughts and flooding.
According to the report dubbed: “is a code red for humanity”, a key temperature limit has been broken in over a decade.
The UN Secretary General, António Guterres, noted: “If we combine forces now, we can avert climate catastrophe. But, as today’s report makes clear, there is no time for delay and no room for excuses. I count on government leaders and all stakeholders to ensure COP26 is a success.”
